The rope on cats scratching post has unwound. Anyone advise me what glue would be safe to use to stick it back around post please ?

Something like Copydex which has no solvents in it.0

If it's right at the top & under the seat thing,I'd also hammer in a cable clip & then wind electrical tape over the clip.0
