Warning regarding Comet ordering by phone

As the ever helpful dmg24 seems to have had my posts deleted I wanted to put a note back in here, as it is entirely relevant to Vents & Warnings!
It's just a note from my experience that if you call Comet to order anything by phone make sure you get an order reference. I didn't get one and was told not to worry it could take up to 24 hours but I definitely had a delivery in for 2 days later, and of course then I never rang up to check due to the reassurance and the goods never came, the order had been "lost". I suspect they took too many orders for the on sale product and cancelled it without having the courtesy to inform their customers.
I would recommend if you do have to order over the phone with them to get names of the people and order references.
