Knowing in your heart that something is going to happen and then not doing anything about it, other than "mentally preparing yourself", smacks to me that you dont really believe it yourself.

I believe in reducing our own personal carbon footprint as much as we can, but dont think we'll see what you prophisy in the next 4 years. Luckily, I have a 3 yr challenge on the MSE board and I'll probably then look at further reducing my mortgage if possible, so I could be around for a while. We'll therefore see how it turns out.
