Can you give a bit more info, Ive read the link and can't quite see how you conclude "we are primarity in the Rent market".
What do you base your conclusion on?0 -
Kind of makes it far from proportionate of the UK population, it is like going to a pub and deducing the whole of the UK drink in pubs on a friday or saturday night.
In my opinion any poll that pays will not be representative on financial matters. It is obvious a higher proportion who do them need extra income.
I do online surveys.
We probably don't need the money but if I'm going to be on the internet, I might as well make a bit of money while doing so. I get screened out quite quickly for a lot though.0 -
Does anyone really give a toss?0

You can't know how many of the respondents were renting because the survey results don't give that information.
Which means that the title of the thread and the article is erroneous, because you can't know how many respondents have mortages either.
You can infer that more respondents will be renting though, because income is skewed towards homeowners overwhelmingly (as we are always told, houses are unaffordable to the average person). Therefore financial difficulties are skewed towards renters.
But making one payment for anything on a credit card is a non problem anyway.0 -
I would have thought that it's more likely to be people who rent who resort to paying their housing costs by credit card, as if you are a mortgage payer and under financial strain you have the option of switching to interest only or taking a payment holiday, whereas if you rent you basically have to stump up.0

Some, like yourself will do it when they dont need money in end of the day you are on a frugal site.
I am saying (not very well) that paid online surveys are doubtful to be representative of the UK.
I would say it is more than likely in this case 6%+ could be doing it because they need money, that would distort the data.
IMHO online surveys that are paid for are not random enough TBH. The people doing them are more than likely in like minded groups.0 -

Think the word "genius" has a new meaning I'm unaware of.0 -

GG
Indeed. January is cashback month for me. I get paid for the convenience of using my credit card. Now that is worth a :beer:30 Year Challenge : To be 30 years older. Equity : Don't know, don't care much. Savings : That's asking for ridicule.0
