If you re-claim, they may decide to cancel yout insurance outright, which would be an issue for future.

It's a possibility, but I think it's fairly unlikely as the policy has nearly finished. It is however why I suggested the client ring asap to pay the missed instalment, pay a percentage of the queried amount and then put in writing they dispute the amount.

There may be an admin charge by the finance company if the OP does a reclaim.

OP I forgot to mention, Admiral cannot make you renew your policy with them. You are free to go to whoever you please at renewal.

Obviously if they offer you the option to pay the balance over the next year's premium (It would be unusual for an Insurer to do this) then you would need to stay with them to take up this option
  • OMG!! Just realised I've not informed my insurance about my 3 points....
Thanks for all the above info!

How much was your premium without the conviction?

If you run the quote you just did without the undisclosed conviction how much does it reduce to.

Have you made sure you changed your date of birth, your no claims bonus and the period you have held your licence for so they reflect the age etc you were last year ? You also need to make your car a year newer as Insurers give a discount for the older your car is

    I've been Money Tipped!
OP - You are lucky that the insurance company is still prepared to offer you its services for the future as you haven't exactly shown yourself as reliable.

You appear to be a young driver who had 3 points but then still failed to take care not to get any more - demonstrated by being stopped with a bald tyre thus getting 3 more points. You then didn't tell your insurance company about the extra risk you presented.

You really do need to look at your approach to motoring, know the obligations that accompany using a car and accept that you need to comply with those obligations.

You need to get a breakdown of what the money applies to, As your insurance is up at the end of this month i presume
all money has already been taken. So the £670 they took was £80 monthly direct debit and £590 for ?????

So not only do you only have £14 to live on your insurance is due soon and it maybe even dearer because of the 6 points
and now you have made a claim also.

This time of year is all bills. You need to phone them and get a breakdown of the charges and also get them in writing.

How long have you been driving? Are you a young un?

Dread to think how much it will cost my daughter for her 1st car.
