travel insurance question

Hi

We are off on a DIY holiday with family and in-laws. The 'in-laws' made the flight bookings for all of us and made the payment to the airline with me paying to the inlaws the costs of our flights for myself wife and kids. My name, wifes name and kids name obviously appear on flight booking info but if something went 'wrong' and we had to make a claim because of eg cancellation of holiday, would i be able to claim through my insurance even though i didnt actually make the payment to the airline even though i will still have actually paid for my flights and our names are on the flight booking?
Thanks
Mike

I think that should be OK but check with your insurance provider

Check your policy very carefully for what is covered.

eg. Often with DIY the cover will not repay hotels if flights cancelled.
