barclay card help

i recently applied for a barclay credit card an was accepted. When i whent to activate the card i was informed that my accout had been cancelled as i no longer fitted they requirments. now i have an entery on my credit report saying that i have an account with them and they wont remove it anyone have any ideas what can do .I have phoned them put just get passed around from department to department and experian have phoned them but they said they wanted them to keep it on my report:mad:

Did you physically get the card in hand then?? If so nver heard of this before. Sounds absurd!

Sounds like the card account was open for a short period of time, so your credit report will simply reflect this. You won't have made any late payments and the entry will be marked as settled. Don't worry, any effect on credit scoring is likely to be marginal but positive.
