barclay card help

i recently applied for a barclay credit card an was accepted. When i whent to activate the card i was informed that my accout had been cancelled as i no longer fitted they requirments. Know i have an entery on my credit report saying that i have an account with them and they wont remove it anyone have any ideas what can do .I have phoned them put just get passed around from department to department and experian have phoned them but they said they wanted them to keep it on my report:mad:

Send a letter to them marked FAO: Data Controller to:

Barclaycard
1 Churchill Place
London
E14 5HP

Explain the situation and advise they have recorded false and inaccurate data by placing a Barclaycard account on your credit files as although you were initially accepted for it, it was never opened, ergo no account information should have appeared on your credit file.

Advise you provide 30 days for the data to be removed to prevent action being sought via the Information Commissioner's Office.

Barclaycard seem to be doing this lots at the moment, maybe there's a glitch in their acceptance system?
