Great news on the mortgage company. You are probably right to get a company in the manage the flat for you. If you were in this country it would be different, but you won't be able to check on things.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

Hiya! Loving your happiness about the ipad! Its already good value, MrsMoo, so go ahead and enjoy!
As for Cath Kidston - it had really passed me by until they opened a shop where I used to live, and my lovely SIL went bonkers about it - I do love that look!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Thanks Gill.....am I right that you rent a property or am I mixing you up. The lady I have decided to go with has a mix and match service and is happy for me to do bits myself to keep the costs down and then ask her to do one off things if I want her to. She was just so nice and organised that I had no qualms in using her service but I am still debating the full management or part managment until I shoot off to Austria.
Jan.... oh dear, I am having a wobble about going to collect the ipad. Especially given our situation at the moment with OH job I am thinking that I should leave it for now but then I think I have saved into my christmas fund all year. I would probably feel better to wrap it and give it to him as his christmas present. Hence me still sitting here instead of being in the shop collecting it.Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. So my wobble became a full falling over and I didn't collect the ipad. The thought of my new home in Austria needing furniture stopped me as I stood at the kiost about to check it out. Oh well, one day. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Oh!
Well, MrsMoo, only you can make the decision ... who knows, in 3 months time you might be thanking your lucky stars you didn't get it ... do you have the kindle app, at least, on your computer?

MrsMoo - well done! :T It's all very well buying an ipad, but not if it is going to make you feel guilty. However, bear in mind you said it was a mindful decision and if you are thinking about it lots - especially after your wee stint in February - then it's maybe time to let yourself off the hook a bit and go for it!
I know how you feel though. I feel nervous about my cheap holiday! It's just so alien for me and I keep thinking "I could/should be using the money for xxx"
I was thinking of you today as I wlaked through the "German" market in Glasgow's city centre. It was the sign for gluhwein that did it. I couldn't help but think it would taste much nicer in Austria! :rotfl:Jan10: 28,315.81 Jan11: 18,015.32 Jan12: 7,682.58 Jan13: 2,987.73 Current debt: 1,225.55

Gutted that you didn't collect the iPad but understand your reasons why. I got my OH one for his 60th and he uses it all the time - he lives out of hotels 3 or 4 nights a week. Mine was MSE as I got staff discount at the time though.:j Proud Member of Mike's Mob :j0

Thanks everybody. Well, I realised whilst standing at the kiosk that I was being a brat and making the decision to buy it right at this time for all the wrong reasons. No need to go into details here but suffice to say that I was having a stamping feet episode when I pushed the button yesterday and when I realised that I turned on my heel and walked out of the shop.
In true Bridget Jones stylee I am sitting on the sofa with my laptop, this months edition of 25 Beautiful Homes, a packet of Doritos and instead of a red wine I am drinking Green and Blacks Hot chocolate.......... well almost there. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Oh, that kind of realisation makes sense to me! Well, in that case, good for you for not acting out being a brat! That takes courage ...2023: the year I get to buy a car0
