Hi All,
I have just installed a Coram, Framelss bathscreen, done everything as per the instructions. The problem is with the "Seal" placed at the bottom on the bath screen, i have pushed it in properly and it is tight against the bottom hinge as much as it can, but when i spray shower over it or even when i am bathing and there is shower spill near the tap, the water leaks at the edge between the seal and hinge. what can we do to stop this leakage..please help!!!!!
many thanks!

A picture would help. If it is a question of a better or extra seal, these people may have what you are looking for.

Thanks Silver.
I have attached a photo here which shows the leakage point and points where there is no leakage.
any help much appreciated!0 -
Looks to me that your seal curtain edge is slightly too long so the water runs along it and out through the tiny gap between the hinge and seal. Ideally you want that seal curtain to flap inwards not outwards; would pulling the curtain more towards the bath and then back out allow the seal curtain edge to flap towards the bath rather than towards the floor? On the far right of the photo the edge is curled towards the bath whereas at the hinge point it curls away. That is the problem, but I don't know how to fix perfectly.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages, student & coronavirus Boards, money saving boards. thanks Silvercar,
basically when i tested water leakage i tried to make sure that the edge is completely curled inside as well also tested it curled outside but still it leaks.

I'd be tempted to seal that join with a bit of silocone sealer - I just had to do the same thing myself on our new screen.0

ok i will try to put a seal tonight see if that improves it...
has anyone tried splash guards?0 -
If its like ours I dont think you can seal that edge as it doesn't move with the screen. We had a similar problem but it was solved by taking the seal off and refitting it making sure it was pressed against the frame before being fully pushed into position.0

you are right..just went home..don't think i can seal that join as the join(hinge-metal part) is stationary and the screen (along with seal) moves...i will try refit it..but surely these products must work...they would have tested for leakage..not able to believe that Coram can produce badly fitting seal0

If the curtain bit was wider than the bit attached to the screen, it could flap between the hinge and the bath and so keep the water bath side.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages, student & coronavirus Boards, money saving boards.
