Screwfix reborn?

A while back I saw in this forum, the web address of the new company founded by the original founder of Screwfix. For the life of me I can't find it anywhere on here or via Google.
Anybody help? Thanks in advance.

Good afternoon: The site you are after might be https://www.tooledup.com We have used it for power tools in the last few months.

    Good luck.

Thanks but not the right one.
They are in Enfield, the one I'm looking for is in Somerset....I think, at least that's where Screwfix originated.

Yes - only B&Q could pay a fortune to buy out the Screwfix founder - but leave him legally free to Phoenix the company under another name and basically in the same place!

That surprised me too Mike. But I'm not sure how long legally you can stop someone starting again in the same buisness. But I think there was a bit of a moral thing about him restarting after B&Q moved the buisness away from Somerset leaving the workers high and dry.

His website says they sold out in 1999 & started this one up in 2003 so there could have been some sort of agreement in place not to set up a similar business within x years

Yes - I'm not sure about the legalities. But B&Q left the customers a bit high and dry as well? Wasn't it at that point Screwfix had to close it's website for lengthy periods as the new warehouse / untrained staff couldn't cope with the demand that Somerset had, previously, been quite excellent in supplying?
