BNPL deals from Very are not worth the hassle. My payment had to be made by the 20th November 2010. However my October statement came in with over £100 interest added on. I paid in full on the 3rd of November and was assured that day, the mistake would be rectified.
December statement - more interest added.
I have just had in my January statement and the interest is still mounting plus I have had a credit warning!!
I was on the phone today for another hour and was told it was their fault and they had a 6-8 week backlog - not my problem. Also they could not guarantee when it would show on my statement. I have been with this company for years but I am buying no more.
I will write to the head office but apart from that I don't know what to do.

I've bought everything on BNPL from Very, and the statements are always clear about what date you need to pay by to make sure you don't get charged any interest. They even tell you this the statement before the item is due to be charged to your account. I've never ever been charged interest this way, and the last BNPL I've had I paid off on the 15th when the deadline was the 18th.0

I have had lots of BNPL items in the past. My point is that they added interest for non-payment the month BEFORE the payment was due. They are saying that there are 'lots' of customers in the same situation and there is a backlog. They said they could see from their screen that I had paid on time and that it would get sorted but they couldn't say when! Not good enough.0
