i just posted a video of Nigel Slater making cheese scones [cobblers] onto you tube, I taped it off my telly using my ipod so excuse the sound quality. I cant paste the you tube link on this forum as I am a new user on here and they dont allow new users to do that. however if you search under nigel Slaters cheese scones you should find it, or search under my user name for the video and my user name is fej54 on youtube.
I did have a go at making these myself and they turned out perfectly [sooooo good].
Enjoy
The ingredients were
Self raising flour
Half the flours weight in butter
Parmesan for the dough and grating on top of the scones
Natural yoghurt [small tub]
dash of milk
1 egg
Thyme
combine all the ingredients quickly in a bowl, dont overwork the dough just bring together in a bowl and pat down, no need to roll out. leave the dough about an inch thick at least. cut out and bake [on top of the vegetable casserole]. :T
