Just had a phone call asking me about security systems and do I have one.
They are supposedly in my area and I can have a free system installed.
So they know my name, my number and the 'area' where I live and now, after the phone call, they now know what system I have.
Am I right to be suspicious, if I had not got security then they would now know my address and the fact that I had no alarm fitted:eek:

sounds like a fishing exercise they "know your area probably because of the dialling code all other questions i would have just declined to answer or hung up . they know a series of details because you told them .This is a system account and does not represent a real person. They could get those details from a phone book. It's definitely a phishing exercise or a ploy to give out your address, so they know you don't have a security system and can break into your place.
edit: they done something similar on the real hustle0 -
The only information I gave them was "yes I have a wireless alarm system".
