Home Office: Cheap Lighting?

Hi All,
I have a home office and wondering what the cheapest way of lighting the work area is? The room is tiny, think box room in a new house.
The sun does provide a fair amount of light but it often blinds me so I close the blinds. I am going to move the room around on the weekend to avoid this however the room still gets dark.
Any view on how best to light the room? I am using a computer so need a reasonable amount of background light... I have a feeling my current desktop light consumes to much energy.
Any suggestions?

as for running cost during the day, maybe better blinds would be the answer?
cut the sun/glare out without cutting the light.
for night time, nice office type table lamps cost about 7 quid each from asda.Get some gorm.0 -
Natural light lighting if you have a home office then it should be offset against tax/expenses.0

The desk light that I use on my computer desk is only an 11w fluorescent and it provides a perfectly usable amount of light. You are unlikely to get anything of much lower wattage than that. It came from Tchibo, so you would not be able to buy one now, as they closed all their shops in this country.
Update, today one of the arm swivels came adrift and I have not been able to fix it. So now I have to find a new desk light. Bit of a bummer.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0
