Every time I come onto the site the screen dims and I get a prompt to start getting the email newsletter - even if I have come onto the site from a link in a newsletter!
I tried a couple of searches to see if there was anything about it but didn't get anything useful.
Is it possible to disable this somehow as it gets a bit irritating.

Agree it's very annoying. I now access MSE from a link to the Forums area. The pop up then doesn't appear unless you venture into the Free Moneysaving Email links.
Can't post a link to the pop up but it's the one headed

This shouldn't be happening. The highlighted tip box should only ever appear once. There is obviously a glitch. I will ask my technical team to respond here and see if we can work out why.Martin Lewis, Money Saving Expert.

Hi cratchitsboss
I've just being talking to our technical team about this and the most likely cause is that your browser isn't set to accept cookies. We use a cookie so that once you've seen it once, it shouldn't show again.
However, I've asked them if anything further can be done, and they've asked if you would please list your operating system (windows 7, xp, etc), browser (chrome, internet explorer, etc), and the version of the browser if you know it.
Sorry for any inconvenience it's causing.
