HDC HD2 screen broken

I usually hang out on the comps board, and was lucky to win this handset, an HDC HD2. My teenage daughter uses it, but dropped it today and the screen is smashed. She tells me that other than the broken 'glass' it is functional.
She contacted a local repairer who said I needed to get the parts and then they would do the tricky bit for me. However, I haven't a clue what I need as have spent an hour online and am coming up with digitizers, touch screens, glass etc etc. Can anyone tell me in plain english what I should be buying?
Many thanks!

Assuming it's the screen that's busted then this search shows lots of replacements...

If it was dropped then I guess there is a chance that the case is damagaed too though0 -
Thanks kwikbreaks, that's precisely what I came up with, but some are screens and some are called digitisers. I haven't a clue what a digitiser is, whether I need that in addition to a screen or is it an either/or? Do you have any idea? But there are dreams that cannot be,and there are storms we cannot weather!0
