Slow running attachments

When I try to view an attachment from an email - youtube, or other programme, it freezes and the little 'daisy wheel' turning in centre of screen keeps cutting in. I've tried running the whole attachment then playing it again but the same thing happens. Any ideas how I can speed it up, please?

Not entirely sure what you are asking. You can't send YouTube videos as an attachment - do you mean you get an email with a link to a YouTube video that you click?

Anyhow - far too little information given. Lets start with what email software do you use on your computer, or do you webmail in a web browser (Hotmail for example). What operating system do you use?

Sorry, I always get the language wrong! Yes I meant a link that I click on. It happens with YouTube and other links as well. I use Yahoo mail, I have Windows XP Home Edition and Internet Explorer 8. Hope this is the right info

Who is your BB provider as they may be choking your line.

Have looked up BB provider - it means broadband? If so it's Virgin media. Can anyone help with a possible solution plz or do I just have to accept I can't download from links?

Hmm, start by deleting the contents of your temp folder, as this could be slowing things.

GillsMan thanks for the tip, but in fact I do that 3/4 times a day via CCleaner, and the Tools bar
