    tbh I don't care how much you earn and you owed you still did extremely well to pay it off so quickly

  • That is totally unbelievable! Our current mortgage is around the same figure as you started with and I want to start making overpayments from next month.
    With the overpayments, did they pay off the mortgage bit or the 'interest' bit each month?
    I'm in total envy of you!!!

    We are also chasing our mortgage debt down as hard and fast as possible.

    NOV 2021 O/S AMOUNT £1,694.41 OUR DEBT REDUCED BY £104,759.59 by std regular, over-payments & off-setting.
    BofE +0.19% Tracker Repayment Offset Mortgage Discounted Sept 07-10 then increased to BofE +0.62% until 2027

    Feb 2012 - onwards MF achieved
    September 2016 - Back into clearing a mortgage - Was due to be paid off in 32 years in March 2047 -
    April 2018 down to 28.00 months vs 30.04 months at normal payment.
    Predicted mortgage clearing 03/2047 - now looking at 02/2045

    Aims: 1) To pay off mortgage within 20 years - 2037

    Thanks OM, we have a healthy balance of over payments whilst allowing us to continue to enjoy life.
    We are as a result of hard work and LOTS of hours worked by us both, taking our girls back to Orlando
    in Feb 2012 for our second trip to the wonderful USA and Disney / Universal Studios and Discovery Cove...
