    Mortgage-free Glee!
You should be mortgage free by the summer - what a great feeling that will be. What are your plans with all your money once you've paid off your mortgage?

Hopefully yes maybe earlier! Probably invest in a cash ISA, my pension and buy some premium bonds. Interest rates on savings are very poor at the moment! Any other suggestions?

Wow - I've just read your thread and am really impressed with your achievements - good work!

As much as I'd love to be mortgage free by 30 it wouldn't work as I've only got 2 days left :rotfl:

    Thanks! :rotfl:

    1) You may have your original Title Deeds stored at the bank and wish to keep them there.
    and

Is this still true? I've a mortgage with C&G/Lloyds and still have ~13yrs or so (OP'ing by 120% but left the term as is) and they sent me the paper deeds a couple of years ago, I guess everything going digitalised they no longer need them?

And alex_p, well done :) I wish I was just as savvy when I was your age, then I'd be waxing my Farrari now ;)

Goodness I am amazed, :-) well done, you must be so chuffed!!!! It's great to hear such a success story.. may I ask what it is that you do for a living? I'm hoping to show my children good examples of how to do the best in this mortgage maze, I work full time in a managerial role but just earn in a year what you are hoping to pay off in 2 months, any advice you can give would make their lives a lot easier than mine.. Many Thanks in advance.. Sorry if I shouldn't ask, but you've done so very well, want to help them achieve the same goal, too late for me now lol :-)
I have £6000.00 left on mine & it will take me well over a year to pay that off but at least i'm on the right track.. I'm about 20 years older than you JFYI
Good Luck in whatever you do next & thanks for sharing

    Thanks for replying Alex :-)

Wow, I wouldn't know where to start, sounds very specialised, but hey if you ever need someone who hasn't got a clue to test out your systems (am assuming they will filter down to public use at some point) I'm your gal :-)

Ha! 6 more payments and I'm done, you're on track to beat me by 4 payments if you're gonna clear yours by March. No competition!

Do treat yourself to more than a meal though... I certainly plan on spending a few monthly mortgage payments on Mrs Adwat & I.
