Hi,
I have seen this software advertised, never used it though, does what your after

I just go through manually and update the information to be correct and upload the correct artwork etc. It takes time but I think it is worth it.0

The iLounge info can be very helpful for understanding iTunes:-

Takes time to read and absorb it all, but it's worth it in the long run.
More for later here, the "Backing Up" section is handy:-

if they are named already, do you just need to order them as album? (click the album column)0

Assuming you have ripped them in a way that has tagged them properly(the album name and track numbers etc ).
It should just be a matter of pressing whichever column header you wish to sort by.
Also you can get problems with albums with various artists appearing multiple times in coverflow view (one entry for each artist)this can be overcome with the album artist tag as oppossed to the artist tag.
Can pick up errors from multiple tag types too but that shouldnt be a problem as your stuffs newly ripped so only one tag version should be used.
For what its worth i find the simplest way to use i tunes is to create playlists and then just add and remove them to the ipod.I find this becomes needed when your collection is bigger than your ipod capacity or you use mulitiple ipods. If you have a song in multiple playlists it only adds it once to ipod but they still appear in both playlists.0 -
to sort out itunes, make it sort by album by artist. It doesnt always work properly for various artist compliations but its easy to go to track info, and tick the box Part of a compliation and also makes sure the number of tracks are set to X of Z X=track number and Z being total number of tracks in the albumSurvey earnings total 2009 £417, 2010 £875, 2011 £5740
