Best DVD Player Out There? HELP

Hiya people,
im after a new dvd player. Its got to be a small (compact one) as its for the bedroom to go with out LCD TV. It has to be able to play everything from dvds, vcd, avi, jpegs... everything really... Also not to expensive.

If my TV had an HDMI input then I would definitely go for this one (has good reviews). It is very good but slightly overpriced if not using the HDMI (upscaling feature) although remains an excellent player:

I was in Sainsbury's the other day and noticed they were selling a Toshiba for £29.99. Quite neat, not the full width size, although I don't know if it plays everything you want. There was also a Daewoo for £29.99.Charlie0

i really just want a cheap one that will play most things...
