No boiler for 7-10 days...can I do anything?

    The problem is Bg's suppliers are the manufacturers and during a recent spell of inclement weather many manufacturers struggled to get their sparts parts shipped in or out by their suppliers and distributors.

    BG closed the inbound sales channels over the harsh weather to support breakdowns. 300.000 calls in 4 days. People were leaving messages on the answer machine complaining about BG not setting up new contracts. ( some of them were hilarous, its amazing what people say to a "machine").

    first78- have BG actually taken the existing pcb away?
    I thought it was still possible for you to light the boiler (assuming you still have the pcb) - at least the engineer could each time they visited.

    If the worst comes to the worst, get yourself down to the local supermarket - most sell kettles for less than 5 or 6 quid - that'll give you hot water in the mean time :)
