It is not recognised as a disability though, like being blind or wheelchair-bound. Cancer is a disease, that's not called a disability either.
It is a legally recognised disability.

Hubby had another word with his manager and told him he's not happy with the way he dealt with things.
    Good!
Boss still has bad attitude but said he now "has more belief" in the fact that it was genuine.
That's kind of him [rolls eyes]. Perhaps the manager is getting ever so slightly worried that this might be taken further.
... defintely going to get a letter off his doc to go on his HR file for future ref.
Yes, get it on file, if not for now, for the future. UC can get much worse, and then you might both be glad of the fact that there's a track record.
At the moment hubby doesn't consider that his UC affects his daily life to the point where he would class it as a disability ...
Good for him, but still get it on file. It gives you options.

In my experience, that is a pre requisite of being a boss!:D

    Classic 'boss swiping' from:
    - Someone that is not a boss
    - Someone never likely to be a boss
    - Someone that wouldn't have the aptitude even if it arose

1 out of three, not bad.

    However...

Classic chip on shoulder reply from someone who fails to see the 'grin' smiley and recognise the humour and mickey take, but instead dwells on their insecurity and own undoubted shortcomings, until it becomes too much and they have to post a sneering response!:rotfl:
