BT Bill from 3 years ago not resolved...HELP!

I have just received a letter from Wescot Credit Services ltd, informing me that "Unless you make a payment of ....£ within 14 days, a claim Form/Summons may be lodged with Hull County Court.
This is with regards to a BT Bill I received around 2 years ago, where they sent me a bill for the telephone and internet, of over £700 for 1 month.
I wrote to BT on a number of occasions, querying this, and informing them that I would not be paying for something that had not been used (I had the cheap phone deal, and BT Broadband).
I did not get a reply to ANY of my letters to BT, and still have not heard anything from them, other than a few threatening letters from various debt collection agencies. I have since moved from my previous address, and did not inform BT of my change of address, as I changed companies with my phone line.
I am now STILL receiving letters regarding the outstanding account with BT, EVEN THOUGH it was canceled before I moved out of that property.
What can I do to stop this company, or any other company from sending me letters regarding this, if BT wont respond to any of my letters?
