Just tried the lastminuteauctions site - turned into a bit of a waste of time. :(

I tried clicking on a few of the items and, after jumping through about 3 referral sites I usually got to an item that was priced vastly different to the original link. e.g one auction showed as 0.99 and when I clicked, the auction price was actually 21.00, another was showing as 0.01 and was 12.00 odd.

And yes the far east P+P mechants were out in force.
They promised the earth...and delivered mud. Technically though it did meet the spec.

    Anything to watch out for?

As always on eBay, make sure you read the blurb for each item carefully before you bid; high postage could turn your bargain buy into a a pocket burner.

just looking at the lastminute-auction.com and Goofbay's lastminute auctions for bargain hunting.

both are very similar but with Goofbays you can also set a specific time and search for example you could browse for mens clothes that are ending between 11pm - 6am 2nite (where everyones in bed so not many bids) rather than just within the next hour.

With the one on Goofbay you can also limit the max postage so filter out auctions with high postage too (as alot of the so called "bargains" arent because they have over priced postage)

There seems to be a bug in the searching. I can do as you suggested, but if I try and click on the next page it doesn't work, is it just me with the problem. (note:this only happens when you change the times)

I sent an email to the Goofbay site to tell them, they just replied saying it was fixed now although i didnt really understand what you meant. I know I'm hooked on looking for bargains. :)
No, kinda gets further, but if I select say 11pm-6am, and hit the next page it does seem to work for me, reverts back to last couple of minutes left

Despite this being an extremely old thread it popped up first when I searched for Lastminuteauctions.com.... Still going strong, I have bought about 20 DVDs over the last couple of weeks for a couple of quid each...
