Graphics card advice please

I have a Dell Vostro V230MT PC with only has basic inbuilt graphics and a VGA connector. I've just replaced my monitor with a full HD one therefore I don't want to connect using VGA. I think that I need to add a new video/graphics card to my pc in order to connect using hdmi but I'm not sure what to look for

My PC has 4 expansion card slot which are all empty. The top one is for a graphics card I think and it is PCI-E x16.

How easy is it to install the card. Can I attempt it myself as a complete novice?

Unless you've bought a massive monitor I don't think you're gonna notice much difference between VGA and a digital (hdmi/dvi) source output. I certainly can't see one on my 22" screen....maybe a tiny bit brighter through DVI. The resolution is gonna be the same through either, so you're not gonna get more pixels on the screen if that's what you're hoping for (other than the resolution change available to either source).
Back to your question, yep, the 4350 would fit in there, it's always a good idea replacing an onboard GPU with a dedicated one, also freeing up some system RAM.

if you are limited by your £30 budget i would suggest the 5450 over the 4350 as it has slightly higher performance with a lower power draw

AS for fitting the card they are pretty easy to fit,a good search on YouTube will show you a guide as to how it is done(sorry I cant post links)
