Parking ticket from PPS (Premier Parking Serivces)

My mum got a parking ticket through the post from Premier Parking Services yesterday for being parked down a road for 6 minutes in November 2010. The ticket is for £75 and goes up to £150 after 15 days .
It wasn't until I looked at the 2 photos on their very official looking letter that I remembered that I was using my mum's car and I went down a 'no through road'. I turned round at the bottom of the road but there was a car obstructing my exit because the driver was talking to a pedestrian and wouldn't move.
There were no 'no through road' or 'dead end' signs at the entrance of the road but about half way down there were signs saying... private parking, zero minutes parking, no waiting and permit parking only.
I have read loads of comments and advice on this forum about these tickets, but because of the signs down the road, I am not sure if I should just pay or not. If I don't pay and we get bailiffs at our door or court letters because of it, my mum will go absolutely bonkers!
The charge is ridiculous, I didn't even actually park down the road and what's more, I had absolutely no reason to. I don't even know anyone that lives there! Does anyone know if my mum or I are within our rights to not pay?
Any advice would be most welcome

If it's a private parking invoice ignore it. Only the police and councils can issue fines and these are the only ones to worry about.
Do not respond, it will only give them information they could try and use against you in the future with their harassment letters.====0 -
For bailiffs to appear at you door the case would have to go to court (very unlikely) you lose (very, very unlikely) and then you refuse to pay whatever the judge orders within 28 days. This is such an unlikely scenario that it's not worth worrying about. From now on don't contact these people and ignore all correspondence from them. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

Ignore it, they will send more invoices, and empty threats, they have no right to issue a charge and cannot sue for the civil penalty as there is no consequential loss to ground a claim. No claim = no CCJ =inability to apply to court to put in a bailiff, for non payment of CCJ.
Best ignore them.0 -
Follow the advice you have been given, this is a total nonsense and the charge cannot be legally enforced. This means that you can safetly ignore the silly begging letters. Be prepared for all sorts of nasty threats, these people get their money by scaring people as they will not get it through the courts.Still waiting for Parking Eye to send the court summons! Make my day!0

oooh! have you checked out their shiny site? 'bespoke solutions' 'expertise' 'competent' blah blah blah (sorry to sound so flippant but I simply can't take any of these clowns seriously).
your best bet is to speak to your mum now and show her this board.
there is no liability no matter how many threat-o-grams they send her.
she should follow the advice and totally ignore the begging letters.0 -
• do not pay
• do not contact them
• ignore their threatening computer generated junkmail
• they will give up and go away0 -
Many, many thanks to you all. My mum is a born worrier but I am going to take your advices and stick to my guns!0

Total damages the landowner can seek for you trespassing on his/her private land is zero.0

I recieved a parking ticket from Premier Park a few months back. I followed the advice given on here and have had no contace with them.
I have now recieved a letter from debt recovery plus Ltd threatening a CCJ if i do not pay the fee of the £150 within 7 days of the date on the letter.
Do i contact the debt collection agency and explain things? or do i ignore this company as well.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as this is now worrying me.

They can't issue ccjs fullstop, only a court can do that, which means 1st they must take you there, 2nd win the claim, 3rd you refuse to pay within 28 days, which is as likely as winning the lotto jackpot tonight!
Simple advice - IGNORE EVERYTHING! unless real court papers arrive through your postbox.Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0
