You're right Mr Redundant that is exactly what happened.

I can't tell you how many calls I made between the bank and a manager at Jacamo. In the end the bank gave me a fax number and said if Jacamo faxed a cancellation through they would remove the hold on my money but Jacamo wouldn't do it. I gave them the chance to put it right and even told them how to!

And yes, I should have titled it Jacamo froze my money maybe

fozmcfc I have read their T&C's since and I can't see any mention of them doing this.

I've written a letter of complaint so will wait and see how they justify it

Surely its just the authorisation hold. If so it's completely normal, surely.

Its called an authorisation hold most companies do this Jacamo dont actually charge your card until the order has been despatched. Even if you cancelled the order the authorisation hold still would have been in place for few a few days. :D

fozmcfc - I certainly will just as soon as they reply - not holding my breath tho

hi st clair - they didn't use the original card transaction, they went into my bank account and took the money as well! Leaving the card transaction in place and therefore me unable to get my cash until 10 days later.
