County Court deadlines/spousal maintenance

Hi, I am currently in process of trying to get my maintenance to ex wife stopped.
Divorced in 2003, she gets £200 pcm from me, I pay over £400 pcm to CSA for one child & over £600 pcm to bank. Earning a fraction above £2,000 pcm, this leaves me with virtually nothing to live on after bills etc & clearing the OD bar the banks overdraft itself.
I am constantly overdrawn & she receives over £18,000 annually in payments from me & various benefits.
She has held jobs for very short periods of time & seems happy not to work.
My questions are these, the County Court judge set various deadlines for me to state my case, & for her to reply etc.
I have always been on time & am representing myself as I cannot afford a solicitor, she of course gets legal aid.
Her solicitors have missed the deadline to send me her "issues" by more than two weeks, the papers should have been with me by 14th December, they arrived in New Year, leaving me no time to respond.
We are back in court 5th Jan, I could probably answer some of the "issues", as by & large I already have stated in my papers what they are asking, but I have not have the period of time the judge dictated to all parties.
I'm wondering, as her solicitors missed the deadline, can I "refuse" to answer her "issues" as I have had no time to prepare, or is it a case of what the judge decides on the day?
Anyone had similar dealings or success getting maintenance stopped?
Judge made ruling that I pay her this £200 pcm until she 60, 10 years to go!
