As previously advised as party to the account your partner has a right to see the bank statements and from those will know exactly the date her wages go in. That is the day he must go in there and FREEZE the account - saying he is in dispute with joint account holder. He must not leave the branch until he has confirmation that this has been done.
If after this Halifax bollock it up then he has a case against them as well as his ex.0
