if anyone passes whsmith every morning (on their way to work or somehting) it might be worth checking the individual christmas cards in the next day or 2.
last year i was in town for an appointment at 9 and went in to buy something when i saw a customer picking up loads of cards, i was behind here in the queue and they were all 1p! needless to say i went and bought loads as well. As i was choosing the sa's started panicking saying 'tut they never tell us, then they moan' and taking all the cards from display. when i asked they told me that head office put all the left overs on a dump code over night but never tell the shops when it done.
last year it was a day or 2 after the boxes went to 99p!
  • Has anyone been to Smiths in the Trafford Centre? Just wondered if worth a trip. Tx

If they're still listed as half price it might be worth just taking them to the till to check. My local stall still had all the half price signs up but the boxes were actually 99p - turns out the staff had known since Tuesday they'd gone down but just hadn't gotten around to pricing them up yet!

I was going to say that too. I went in first thing hoping to grab a bargain.

All 99p at St Andrews WH Smiths. Bought a nice box of 30 winter scene cards originally £5.99. All other boxes seemed to be packs of 10, but really nice cards.
