how do I copy and paste paypal activity (balances etc) in it's original format without downloading?

As it looks in the account - tables and everything.

He means do you need it saved so you can edit it etc as a spreadsheet, or is just basically a screenshot of it ok?

Hardly the hardest thing in the world to do. Just select everything you need copied and paste into a word document or notepad.

The parts that I want are in table form but when I copy & paste it onto Word, it comes out in essay form strings of words, figures etc. Surely this can be done without having to do a screenshot?

What do you want to do with it after saving it?

You can save the page out as html and it will appear the same if opened offline. Word and Excel can also open html files although when I just tried opening a saved paypal page it was a dog's breakfast.

Nearest I got without doing the obvious thing and using the download option which for some reason you've ruled out was to copy the table portion of the page and paste it into scalc (the spreadsheet tool from open office) It may be that the same would work with your version Excel although it didn't with the version I tried (2003).
