I made the mistake of updating IE7 when the splash screen came up. Now IE will not connect to the net. I know that the connection is ok as I can get on via firefox with no problems. Tried the connection diagnostic tool but this implies the router is not on, wrong. Using a wired connection to the router which is a Belkin 7633. Tried to change the connection in internet options but no luck. I'm sure there is a simple answer but my minds a blank at this time of day. Now going away to check the firewall settings.

Sygate was on a go slow and had not detected the changed IE7 and asked if it was OK. Had a similar problem when updating AVG to 7.5I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0
