Family holiday

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone could help us.
We are looking to go away mid may time (not school holidays) to somewhere that will be warm, probably just for 7 days.
There will be two families, both with children 2 children under 6 and 2 children who will be 1.
We want some sort of beach type holiday, which will be good for the kids.
We've looked at a few places, but not really sure wheres good and wheres not.
Looking to spend under £1200 if possible for the week each, though we are open to sensible prices.
Any help would be much appreciated as we seem to be going round in circles looking, thank you!
