Refund Policies

Is it just me or have shops seemed to have changed their refund policies lately? Im pretty sure Ive had refunds from both shops in the past but now they say thats not possible...HMV would only allow store credit on a gift card or immediate exchange - ok not the end of the world - but Topman jeeez wouldn't even allow the money to be put on as store credit, infact the exchange needed to come to the exact value of the product purchased, when OH picked out something for £6 less we were told we couldn't have the £6 back nor could it be written off, we needed to find something for £6 + in the store to add, needless to say he ended up with two pairs of socks as well which came to exactly £6.....

yeah but unless it is faulty they don't even need to offer what you got offered above
