working tax credits

Hi i am currently working full time earning around £14,600 per annum. I live with my partner who is currently unemployed. I think I may be able to claim working tax credits. However, im not sure how this works. Does anyone know if either of us would need to actually "sign on" to claim working tax credits. How do we get hold of a form in order to put a claim in?
Any advice much appreciated:A

Yes you should be able to claim provided you are over 25. Savings don't count but taxable income from savings does (eg interest, dividends) if over £300, it adds to the income they assess you on. Tax free savings income (eg ISA interest) doesn't count.0
