cerdit card interest

hi can anyone help.my husband has a mbna credit card through bt.hes paying £100 per month but the interest is coming in usually at around £93 pounds or more .this month he paid the required £100 but the interest came in at £103.so the debt has gone up this is never going to be paid off

    If he pays more than the minimum payment, the debt will reduce faster and the interest charged will also begin, slowly, to fall.

    Try upping the payments by as much as you can.

    (Also, make sure that the balance remains well within the credit limit, stop spending on the card, pay on time and see if you can get a balance transfer to a card with a low or 0% rate elsewhere).
