    Hi Murtle

  • Weird things happen with payments over Christmas lol. Just glad that things are getting back to normal....
Kids are back at school/pre-school, my youngest starts pre-school on Thursday (2 afternoons a week)....one thing that never changes though is my nagging mother in law....ha ha
  • Have any of you had that letter from HMRC re extra payment? I havent had a letter but my friend received her extra payment BEFORE she even got a letter! It wasnt her usual payment, or an early payment due to Christmas so she rang them up, it was the extra...
  • Yeah i got the letter about the potential extra payment but as yet havent actually had the payment.

From what i can gather , the letter has been sent to all tc claimants.

Im hoping that i dont receive the extra payment as i dont want my weekly payments reduced any further , i have already had a reduction this year !
The loopy one has gone :j
  • I know, my CTC went down too. So depending on how much this extra payment is for, it will be deducted from usual payments up until april ????so in theory CTC could be reduced by either a pittance or a few quid per week to take this extra payment into account....they giveth then they taketh away!
  • Well , theres roughly 12 weeks left in this tax year so if they were to give us an extra payment now of £120 , the rest of the years payments will be down £10 per week !
The loopy one has gone :j
