Interesting letter
Got a letter today, addressed to the occupier, from a national gas infrastructure company.
Apparently they want to change my meter on the 10th. No time. And they will need access, even if the meter is outside.
If I have a problem with this, there is an 0845 number.
Now as they don't know my name, can't be specific about time and I've never heard of them. I'm still going to work:D
Anyone else have a clue if it could be genuine;)

How can anyone tell you if the name of the co is not mentioned in your OP?:D
Is there anything to be found by a *google* on the co's name?0 -
Meters get routinely changed around every 15 years. If you've only just moved in it seems reasonable they wouldn't have your details and so it would be addressed to the occupier. If you're not in they will probably leave a card and if you don't respond in about a years time you will get a similar letter again.0

If you have been there 9 years then they would of adressed it to you wouldnt they? Check with your supplier npower or powergen or whoever you get your bills from!Work like you don't need money,

Wasn't asking if the company was genuine, just that someone would want to change my meter
There is a ongoing program to replace all the Imperial meters(cubic feet) with Metric(cubic metres) meter.
If you have one of the former type, this could be the reason.0
