is a push bike out of the question?

Don't you get 20p per mile for a push bike? Now get a high power electric version and see how many miles you can do in a day.
Cheap local parking too and fewer traffic jams.

    Or so they tell me.

The rush hour in Chinese cities can be really scary when you realise people are dashing about silently on what look like push bikes but can wiz about.

Meanwhile we in the deficit countries are suffering taxation by inflation unless we have considerable debts on which rates have fallen.
  • From the HMRC website:
If you pay for fuel when using a company vehicle for business travel you can get tax relief on fuel costs, less any payments repaid by your employer and covered by a 'dispensation'. You must keep a record of your business mileage to calculate your expenses.

Seems to me that if the payments made by your employer don't cover the cost, you can claim tax relief on the difference.
