Cheapest place for raised bed kits?

Im really rubbish at DIY so making my own from wood is not an option.

Could anyone suggest the cheapest place to buy raised bed kits?

I have no DIY skills but we built them using timber and it was the cheapest way to go.

  • It really doesn't take a lot of diy skills to make them :)

B&Q will cut the wood to size for you and then you simply screw or nail the sides together and/or to stakes.

They are really cheap and quick to do that way.

If not, most garden centers sell them, but unless it is link a board stuff, you will probably have to do some simple DIY to put them together :)

Please be careful if you use pallets - some from foreign climes are fumigated with highly toxic pesticides, fungicides etc - not necessarily approved for UK use and if sawing etc you could run the risk of inhaling said toxic mixes - never mind the veg you grow! :(

I can vouch for the linkabord. I bought a 1m x 2m kit last year and managed to grow quite a bit, and if planned a bit better could have made even better use of it.

The kit itself is very easy and quick to put together.
