what no back up if your clarify is refused?

I have my Halifax for all round use (eg paying for transactions and taking cash out).
I have my post office which gives a perfect exchange rate on purchases but charges for cash and then a third back up with my Nationwide Credit Card!

Normally I bring about 10 euros and then when it comes to pay for a big bill, I swipe my card and everyone gives me cash! So no need to go to cash machine! This only works if others pay cash and if the place you go to takes card payments.

N&P just lauched a card yesterday (see latest MSE news) however there are some terms.

I did not choose N&P as they want you to open a current a/c with them.
I have applied for a Clarity Card as I am already an existing current a/c holder which will give £ 5 if if I spend at £300 in a billing month.
I still have nationwide cards which will be my back up if something happens.
As far as I understand, Clarity only charges interest on cash withdrawls & do NOT let you pre=load the card with a credit balance to avoid interest charge.
I do not know whether you can pay anything in the as soon as the withdrawl appears on the system or do you have to wait for the monthly statement before you can pay in?

hunsbury0, just wait for transaction to appear and do a bill payment via internet! No need to wait for bill.
