New job and i want a new bank account

Hi guys,
A little help here please...
Am currently with Cahoot but want to open up a new account with A&L, as I am about to start a new job after being unemployed for the past five years.
My new job will meet the criteria for A&L - over £500 a month, I'm (well) over 21 etc. I was going through appying on line and it has asked me for my employment details.
My question is, well, it seems a bit lame to say that I've been employed for 0 yrs 0 months - also they ask for employee details, telephone numbers, position held etc. Should I wait until I have been employed a few months before switching or should I just go ahead anyway?
Many thanks to anyone that can help!
Nicola

Generally speaking I would suggest waiting a couple of months, but you might want to check with them directly. Make sure you get the full refer a friend £50 bonus. Another thing to mention, they tend to look more favorably on applications that also want the regular savings account, but as thats at such a good rate it's worth having.Debt £5600 all 0%0

I would say yeah get your first pay going into your existing account then after that apply.Indecision is the key to flexibility0
