Hi
I need a new printer and thinking of getting a laser one.
Firstly, can someone confirm the difference between networked and wireless. Does networked go through the router and wireless go direct from pc to printer? Is there any difference in setting up and how they work in practice?
Secondly, I would like a colour printer, with individual toners. Will be for home use - so nothing massive and expensive. The Samsung CLP range look good for the price - are they?
Any more suggestions?
Thanks
Louise

yews i believe a networked printer is thats connected to a router, a wireless 1 is 1 thats connected wirelessly to the router,
i cant say whether theres any difference as i havent set either type up but yes they work the same as any kind of printer,0 -
Yes both connected to router, i with cable other wifi. Will printer bu just for yourself, if so do you need wireless.
Samnsung CLP are an ok entry level into laser printing, but the toner's are not cheap.
CLP 325 is about £97 and all 4 colours would cost about £120, then there is the drum at about £100 (get 24,000 prints from it)Mansion TV. Avoid at all cost's :j0 -

After a bit more looking, I am now interested in the Dell 1320cn. The toners are cheaper it seems. But it says it does not support Windows 7, which is what is on both our laptops. Does this mean I won't be able to use it? Can't find anything useful on Dell website.
Thanks

Louise, it might still work with a Vista driver -- but I wouldn't risk it ; could be hit/miss and temperamental. Don't think you'd be happy with me lol, if i suggested conclusively that it would.BLOODBATH IN THE EVENING THEN? OR PERHAPS THE AFTERNOON? OR THE MORNING? OH, FORGET THIS MALARKEY!
