I have just tried getting latest updated version of Spywareblaster. I uninstalled the version I had, but when new version installed it still said I already have Spywareblaster and also said I haven't got Mozilla Firefox installed (which I have). Any ideas ???

    You could:

    Unistall spywareblaser,

Go to C:\Program Files and make sure it hasn't left anything behind - many programs leave a folder behind with some of their setting and stuff so that later versions can pick up where it left off - Delete it if it's there.

    Restart

    Install the new version again.

Needless to say that you should be careful with the program files folder (some people won't go near it)

When I've had a problem with a program in the past, I've found this to work - It forces the program to start from scratch rather than continue with old settings.

I haven't tried that yet, but will if can't sort it. I've tried installing again, it says Mozilla not there (which I'm using!) - looked on windows programmes and by Mozilla & Thunderbird it says "0" as though it isn't there ( ???). What can I do about that?

Also - Spybot keeps popping up every few seconds saying there has been a change and to allow or deny it. I denied it loads of times (not sure what it was), then gave up and allowed it - and it still keeps popping up every few seconds even though I tell it to remember the answer. It's driving me mad as have to stop what I'm doing - literally every few seconds. Any ideas on that one?
