HSBC credit card - claim or not?

I'm looking for a bit of advice on my credit card repayment protection insurance. Whilst sorting out some old paperwork I glanced at the agreement and noticed that it said I needed to be employed for more than 16 hrs a week to be eligble. When I took out the insurance I'm sure I was working full time but since then I have had two kids and now work 12 hours a week. The paperwork keeps saying "at the start of the policy..." so I'm not sure if its still valid or not? I have never told them I am now part time (because it never really occured to me!). I am thinking about cancelling the insurance to save some much needed cash, but could I reclaim any - maybe from the date I stopped working full time? Or will they just say its my own fault for not telling them?
Any advice would be much appreciated!

    Hi there

Maybe someone will confirm on this, but with working part time, I think it may be 16 hours or less, then it would not cover you for unemployment to what I know of, but most confirm they will still protect for life cover/job solutions and hospitalisation.

I would ask them to send you the policy booklet details on this cover and check this out, as this may vary from one to another bank etc.

If this no longer protects you, your able to cancel at any time.

Someone should be along soon to give some advice on this for you, good luck.
