If offered, should I move for a job?

Hello,
I am just looking for people's thoughts on my potential dilemma, although ultimately I need to decide if it comes to it. It just would be great to get people's thoughts especially if they have been in a similar situation.
I have a second interview for a role this week the job is something that I really want to do and what I have experience of and the package that they are offering is good.
The problem is that the location if far from ideal, I currently live in the South West of England and the job would be in Kent. I really like where I live and would prefer not to move. The problem is that I am currently not working (my last role was a short term contract and finished in December) but do not seem to be having any joy in finding suitable roles to apply for where I live (although admittedly December was never going to be a great time to look) but had been looking previously.
There would be no major difficulties with moving as I don't have any major ties, mortgages etc.
I am just wondering whether if I am offered the role should I take it? given that it isn't easy to find a job and it would definitely better then not working.
I was thinking if I was offered it just living away during the week and coming back at the weekend but the cost of renting 2 places could be quite prohibitive and so much of my weekend would be spent travelling as it would be at least a 3.5 hour drive each way so maybe isn't such a great option.

Any family around? What else is keeping you in the area?
If I was single, no mortgage, I would move.0 -
I agree with misskool. You can always stick it out for a year then look around for another job in SW.0

If it's the job you want and the money's right - go for it. (Especially if you're living on benefits now - you have a duty to get off them)0
-
I can't see any reason not to take the job, if you don't like it you can always move back in a year or two if you can get a job in your preferred area.0

write out pros/cons of staying put and pros/cons of moving to Kent.
To help -
pros of moving to Kent
1 (presumably) easy access to Channel Tunnel and hence trips to the Continent
2 paid employment with good package
get the idea?
with no ties (mortgage/children) to keep you in the South West it's not really a contest IMODon't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

My folks are about 200 miles away in North of England and I am single. Although I am in my thirties and have moved around quite a bit over the years for uni, then work placements so would prefer to be more settled. The main reasons I would want to stay in the current area are friends, social life and areas to do the sports I enjoy. There are also other areas in the country I would much prefer to move to then where I would need to be located for this role, so I am not really limiting myself.0

Go for it, Monkeymania! You never know, you might like Kent just as much/more than the SW. :j Having a job/money will give you more options - it's also easier to get another job if you're already in one. The SW isn't going anywhere, and you aren't signing up for life, presumably
