Sony PS3 Confused?

I'm on the curry's website at the moment and they are selling a PS3 slim 160GB for £249.99 and a PS3 slim 250GB for £199.97. Why the big difference in price especially when the one with the bigger hard drive is cheaper??

The 250GB is end-of-line (as is the 120GB) and has been replaced by a 320GB version. Hence, it's priced down to clear it out. Simple as that.Squirrel! If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.

Another question - I still have an old fat TV in my room is there any point getting the PS3 since the graphics will be crap0

1) Yes, it's pretty much the same machine with a smaller hard drive
2) No, the graphics and games will be good. You just won't get it in HDSquirrel! If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.

Forgive me jumping in here. If the PS3 is used to watch DVDs, and play CoD (MW etc) and FIFA11, what difference does the extra hard drive capacity mean in practical terms? The ongoing quarrels between the PS3 users here, both in their 20s, mean my son is thinking of getting a separate one for his room, price (or phone deal) permitting.0

You can store your music & videos on it to use as a media server..or alternatively, have plenty of space for downloaded games and demos.Squirrel! If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you.
