Cruise spending money - multiple distinations

That looks OK, but they charge 12.9% so to avoid this I would need to pay it off straight away, so I can't see any benefit in using this card as opposed to just changing currency and paying for everything by cash0
-
21.9% are you real.
I said the charge will be £1 per £100 withdrawn ie 1%.
Also you get the Mastercard rate, not the significantly lower cash exchange rate.0 -
I think we are at crossed purposes here. What ideally I am looking for is 0% credit card that I wouldn't get charged for using abroad. I'm not sure what the 21.9% rate is that you mention, but as I said, I can't see any benefits so far that would be more benefical than simply finding the best exchange rate and taking cash.0

If you went to the Post office today £100 would give you 114 Euros. I you used a Mastercard Credit card in an ATM in Spain today you would get 117 Euros for the same £100.
Then within the month pay back £101 to the Halifax or Santander (Zero Card).
ste1200, tell me, which is the better deal ?0 -
Marginally better by £1.82. Sounds like a plan thanks.0

Just to confirm, am I OK to pay for items in shops on the card to get the best rate or would I need to draw out of an ATM and pay by cash ?0
-
I've been on a few cruises and generally don't spend much on shore - just a coffee or two. In Gib you can pay in GB or Euros - there are ATMs everywhere. Unless you're planning major purchases just buy some Euros before you go and have a CC for emergencies. You can also get those money cards that you load up before you go - loads of info on this site about them.0

I was thinking of stocking up on ciggies in Gibraltor tbh. Is everything travellerboy said above not worth doing and should be discounted ? I've applied for the card now !0

Not sure what you mean by "stocking up" as you can only import 200 duty free cigs from Gibraltar.0
